Any person interested in joining the group can become a member. There is no sign-up fee, application, or stipulations of any kind. We are an open group welcoming all individuals regardless of experience level. Simply stop by one of our meetings to find out more.
Officers : : 2010 - 2011 School Year
President: Jason Phillips
The President is the single
person acting as figure head for everyone in the group. Along with
guiding the group toward new goals, the President must also attend
mandatory VCU Roundtable Meetings: a series of meetings that let VCU
instruct Presidents on any group rules/guidelines they see fit.
Vice President: Morgan Stuart
The Vice President is chiefly in charge of delegating
and assigning tasks handed down from the President. As VCU LUG gains
more members, the Vice President's job will become more crucial in
managing manpower for various goals/tasks.
Treasurer: Jonathan Blake
Secretary: John Picchi
The Secretary is tasked with managing the group's communication and infrastructure. Scheduling, sending out meeting reminders, and keeping records of meeting minutes are all primary responsibilities of the Secretary.
Other:
Yes we have an official position titled Other. The Other fills in for each officer position if they are unavailable to do so. This position carries with it the complexities and responsibilities of every position and is a tremendous asset that helps keep the organization working smoothly.
