Central Virginia Chinese School

Welcome
Founded in 1996, the Central Virginia Chinese School (CVCS) is a non-profit and formally chartered Chinese language school and cultural organization.

The goal of the CVCS is to satisfy the increasing need for learning simplified Chinese (Mandarin) and pin-yin (the official Romanization system of Chinese) in the Richmond area; to promote communication and mutual understanding between Chinese and western cultures; and to help the younger generation preserve their Chinese heritage.

Currently, there are five Chinese language classes at different levels, and one class for non-Chinese-speaking families. The classes meet every Sunday afternoon at Gayton Baptist Church, 13501 N. Gayton Rd (Westend Campus) and Midlothian High School (Southside Campus).

Chinese Painting class and Guitar class are optional to students one hour before the language class at westend campus.
